Day 1: Arrival in Kasane, Botswana
The adventure begins in Kasane, gateway to the Chobe National Park.
Stay: The Old House, Kasane
A short transfer from the airport gets you to The Old House, a charming family-owned and run guesthouse perfectly located for river trips and game drives into the Chobe National Park. As the name suggests, this is one of the oldest buildings in town and was originally built in the old town of Serondela, before being moved brick by brick to its current location. It is now a popular guesthouse, restaurant and bar offering comfortable a/c rooms, good food, small pool, a relaxed atmosphere and a host of local tours and activities.
As the afternoon sun begins its descent, board a sunset boat cruise for your first taste of Chobe’s magic. Return to The Old House for dinner on the deck, the river’s sounds providing nature’s sound track.
Day 2: Chobe National Park Safari
Stay: The Old House, Kasane
Rise early for a game drive into Chobe National Park, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, and buffalo. The afternoon offers choices: visit a local village or return to the water for another perspective on Chobe’s wildlife. As evening falls, relax at the lodge with the river breeze, soaking in the views.
Day 3: Drive to Katima Mulilo, Namibia
Today’s scenic drive takes you across the border into Namibia’s Zambezi Region (approx. 2–2.5 hours).
Stay: Caprivi Mutoya Lodge
A hidden oasis in the riverine forest, this lodge is just 24 kilometres east of Katima Mulilo. Ancient Jackalberry trees, their gnarled branches home to countless birds, shade this peaceful retreat on a backwater of the mighty Zambezi.
Spend your afternoon exploring the tranquil waterways – perhaps gliding silently in a mokoro (traditional canoe), birdwatching or joining a guided canoe trip to discover the smaller inhabitants of this water world.


Day 4: Explore Zambezi Region
Stay: Caprivi Mutoya Lodge
Morning brings a symphony of birdsong. Join an early nature walk or birdwatching tour to spot the feathered residents. Later, immerse yourself in local life at Katima Mulilo’s bustling local market or try your hand at fishing – the Zambezi offers excellent angling opportunities.
Day 5: Travel to Mutemwa Lodge & Ngonye Falls, Zambia Cross into Zambia at the Sesheke border post, then continue to Mutemwa Lodge (approx. 3–4 hours) arriving in time for a riverside lunch.

This intimate lodge occupies a privileged position on the banks of the mighty Upper Zambezi, where legendary tiger fishing draws anglers from around the world. The lodge’s location under a canopy of mature trees creates a natural cooling system – a welcome respite from the African sun.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy – relax on your deck or take to the river to try your hand at the legendary Tiger Fishing before returning to the lodge for dinner under the stars.

Day 6: Ngonye Falls Adventure

Depart after breakfast for an all-day trip to see one of Zambia’s best-kept secrets. When water levels permit, you’ll approach Ngonye Falls by boat – 80km upstream from Mutemwa Lodge through landscapes unchanged for centuries. Also known as Sioma Falls, and marking the point where the Zambezi River begins its dramatic journey through rocky gorges, this spectacular cascade spreads across the Zambezi in a wide, horseshoe-shaped drop, creating powerful rapids and misty rainbows that dance above the gorge. In comparison with Victoria Falls, Ngonye’s natural spectacle remains refreshingly untouched and more intimate. Hike to viewpoints, swim in natural pools and enjoy a picnic lunch with a view. Day 7: Head to Kasile Island Lodge, NamibiaAfter breakfast, take a scenic drive back into Namibia (approx. 3 hours), where a boat transfer delivers you to the tranquil Kasile Island Lodge.
Stay: Kasile Island Lodge
Located in Bwabwata National Park, this remarkable retreat occupies a private island on the Kwando River, accessible only by water. Here, herds of buffalos and elephants traverse the wet Zambezi landscape. Sitatungas, an elusive aquatic antelope, are often spotted along the floodplains and marshes.
Fall in love with this enigmatic corner of Namibia as the sun rises over the tree canopies. Enjoy the sounds of birds chirping from your tented room, explore the waterways and absorb the ambience of this beautiful wilderness. Lunch is served under the trees, followed by an afternoon to absorb the profound peace of this wilderness sanctuary.


Day 8: Island Relaxation & Exploration

Enjoy a leisurely day on the island and choose your day’s adventure. Game drives and bush walks with expert guides reveal the park’s residents, while boat trips explore hidden channels of the Kwando.
A true highlight of any stay at Kasile Island Lodge is a visit to the award-winning Sijwa Project, launched in 2018 with a vision of empowering the community. The project re-purposes and re-invents all recyclable waste from African Monarch Lodges and the local community, turning it into exquisite saleable craft and art. It’s also an organic permaculture nursery to supply food for locals and lodge guests, a bee-hive project to assist in human/wildlife conflict and a sewing and carpentry workshop creating employment for the region.
Day 9: Transfer to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Your final transfer takes you to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (approx. 3–4 hours).

A tranquil family-run retreat away from the tourist hustle and bustle, Bayete Guest lodge is set in tropical gardens with an inviting pool at its heart hugged by the Dining Boma and Bar.
Spend the afternoon browsing the famous craft market in Victoria Falls or simply lounging by the lodge’s pool. For dinner, venture out to sample local flavours at The Three Monkeys or Dusty Road – both local favourites.
Day 10: Victoria Falls Exploration & Departure

End your adventure with a morning tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls. For thrill-seekers, enjoy an optional helicopter flight, bungee jump, or Zambezi rafting. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) for your departure.
