Fly into Kasane and picked up by the driver from Tlouwana.

Your first few nights will be at Tlouwana Camp.

The Chobe region of Botswana is a great location for birdwatching. The area is known for its abundant wildlife, including a wide variety of bird species. Bird lovers can enjoy spotting vibrant kingfishers, elegant lapwings, and many other birds while exploring the area.

Tlouwana will drive you Pandamatenga border and here you will be picked up be your guide from Robins Camp.

Situated within remote Zimbabwe, Hwange National park is the country’s largest park, covering an area of 14 600km2 (more than 5,600 square miles). This large size leads to varying game and landscapes. From the desert scrubs on the edge of the Kalahari, to granite hills, woodlands filled with mopane and teak, as well as wide grass plains fringed by palm trees and acacias. This landscape diversity allows for a flourishing wide range of wildlife. With over 100 species of mammals and almost 400 species of birds, Hwange National Park also contains one of the largest Elephant populations in the world. Other rare animals regularly spotted include the Roan and Sable Antelope. With an abundance of food, massive herds of buffalo can also be spotted traversing Hwange’s grass plains.

Here you will stay at Robins Camp, situated in the rugged northern Basalt area of the park, an area rich in natural water with seeps and springs dotting the area.

Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe is a renowned birding destination, boasting a diverse avian population of over 400 species. The park’s varied habitats, from open savannah to dense woodlands, support a wide range of birds, including notable species like the Secretary bird, Grey Crowned Crane, and Kori Bustard. Hwange is also known for its impressive raptor diversity, including various vultures and eagles, as well as unique species like the Crimson-breasted Shrike and Arnot’s Chat.

Every lunchtime a professional guide takes visitors to a viewing platform at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge to see wild vultures feeding. Guests will learn more about the plight of vultures across Africa and the crucial role they play in our ecosystem. A small donation is given to the Trust for each lunch that is purchased at the Vulture Culture restaurant, which helps to support the vulture conservation research. The experience is a collaboration between the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust and Africa Albida Tourism.
