Start your tour from Victoria Falls

Plenty to see and do around the Falls, not just the magnificent Falls themselves.

Victoria Falls National Park is a haven for birdlife, boasting over 400 different species. The park’s diverse habitats, from the Zambezi River to the rainforest and woodlands, support a wide array of birds. Some notable species include the African Fish Eagle, the African Finfoot, Schalow’s Turaco, and various hornbills.

Here you could stay at The Elephant Camp.  Perched on a private concession with breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls spray and Batoka Gorge, The Elephant Camp offers an intimate and eco-luxurious safari experience. Thoughtfully designed suites feature private plunge pools and elegant interiors, blending seamlessly with nature. Guests enjoy immersive wildlife encounters, gourmet dining and exclusive activities, from game drives in the Zambezi National Park to sunset cocktails at the Batoka Gorge’s edge. With a strong commitment to conservation and community upliftment, The Elephant Camp is the perfect retreat for those seeking adventure, serenity and sustainable luxury in the heart of Africa.

Fly from Victoria Falls to Verney’s Camp.

Situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park, the camp is on a private concession that is not open to regular Park visitors. Verney’s Camp is on a large open floodplain surrounded by mopane and teak forests.

Hwange is known for the size of the herds and the variety of animal species.  Highlights include elephant herds, lions and wild dogs.

The park’s Bradfield Hornbill protected population is probably the highest in the world and the Yellow-billed Oxpecker probably the highest population in the subregion. The pans and surrounds are popular birdwatching spots with Ostrich, Burchell’s Sandgrouse, Woolly-necked and Saddle-billed Storks, Kori Bustards and Red-crested Korhaans, Southern Ground-hornbills, Secretary birds, lapwings and a wide variety of waders, Collared and Black-winged Pratincoles, Three-banded Coursers, Yellow-throated Sandgrouse, Chestnut-backed and Grey-backed Sparrow larks and many others.
