Rhino Safari Camp is an intimate bush camp set on a private concession along the shores of Lake Kariba within the Matusadona National Park. Shaped like a peninsula, the concession is almost entirely surrounded by the lake’s deep blue waters. A secluded wilderness where land and water meet, a living microcosm of the bush, where privacy, relaxation and intimacy come naturally.
About Rhino Safari Camp
Rhino Safari Camp is an intimate bush camp, nestled along the shoreline of the Lake Kariba in a private concession within the Matusadona National Park.
We can accommodate 14 guests in seven, elevated; wooden thatched; twin/double bedded; open-fronted; en-suite bedroom chalets.
All the chalets follow the shoreline and have been built like the BaTonga palafitta (traditional stilted huts on mopane poles), for natural ventilation during the summer days and as a protection from animals, Zambezi floods and humidity.
Rhino Camp is totally unfenced and as such, the wildlife frequents the camp by day and night; elephant, lion, hyena and leopard are regular visitors.
It is ideal for those who are looking for a close to nature African camp experience, indeed with all the comforts.
Thanks to its unique features, it can easily be combined with a more traditional African lodge or a tented camp - we are in a middle range rate offer.
